Like your social networks? Try FriendFeed

Lets face it, we all love those social networking sites like facebook, myspace, bebo etc.  And, we all like to see what everyone else is doing - what blogs they are posting to, what they are bookmarking, what pictures they are uploading.  The list goes on.

One of the problems at the moment is that all these “social” sites are fragmented and don’t talk to each other.  It means if you really want to see what your friends are doing you need to be visiting all the different sites.

A new site called FriendFeed has recently launched and tries to pull all this data together.  It literally provides a news feed of your friend’s activities across multiple sites.  Create an account, link it to all the social sites you use and find your friends.  Its as easy as that.  There’s also a facebook application to keep your facebook feed up to date as well.

I’ve been using it for a few days and it works well.  The only downside at the moment is that it hasn’t reached the masses and you will probably have few friends already signed up.  But, of course you can invite anyone to join directly from the site.

The interface could also do with some tweaking as I believe it could look a lot better but it works well enough.  It’s early days for the site so I expect they will improve it as they get feedback.

It is definitely worth looking at http://friendfeed.com
