Reds Look to Stability

Escapework.net wants to see an end to this seemingly never ending saga as soon as possible - preferably with a D.I.C buyout. By all accounts, Sameer Al Ansari has been given word by Sheikh Maktoum himself that massive funds will be given to Liverpool Football Club to make them the top team in English football again

Kylie Minogue Will Not Marry

kylie-minogue.jpg

Further to an earlier article, it would appear that Kylie’s PR team saw our news and have responded saying that Kylie will not marry.  Here’s the full article from SuperiorPics.com. . . . . .

KYLIE MINOGUE will not announce her engagement to on/off lover Olivier Martinez during a live concert, according to the event’s organisers.

Media outlets in the Czech Republic have been speculating the Spinning Around hitmaker will announce the news at a concert in Prague on 12 May (08) - because she asked for an “unusually high” number of tickets for family and friends.

However, concert organiser Jarda Hainzel insists she has been misquoted.

Just What is Google Android?

logo_android.gif
Android is a new operating system for mobile phones and PDA’s. In a nutshell, Google is reinventing the mobile phone.  According to Google, its new Android Platform is a platform for mobile devices that not only acts as an operating system, but also allows developers to create applications via its SDK or Software Development Kit.

Applications are written in Java and run on a Linux kernel via Dalvik, a custom virtual machine that allows software applications to be custom installed. Cutting to the chase, this means anyone can design an application for a phone in the same way that anyone can create applications for Facebook (think slide.com).

An early example of one of these open source software mediums, is PacketVideo - a firm that is creating the music and video playback software.  For now, Google is not developing its own handsets - they are leaving that to the big hitting manufacturers; Motorola, Nokia, Samsung etc. A good analogy is that Google’s Android is an OS to mobile phones in the same way that Microsoft’s Windows OS is to PC’s.

Student Village Orgy

I found this whilst surfing the interweb earlier this evening.  It happened a few days ago but well worth reading. . . . .

A school was forced to help girls get emergency contraception after an end of term party saw under-age pupils having unprotected sex in a village square.

The event is said to have involved “a disturbingly high number of girls” having sex while they were too drunk to know what they were doing, and also left one boy hospitalised.

Grand Theft Auto IV to be Banned?

gta-iv.jpg

What impact could this morning’s publication of Dr Tanya Byron’s review on video games ratings have on the release of Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA IV)?

The study recommends that video games should have cinema style ratings and this should be a statutory requirement instead of the voluntary code currently in place.  This could mean big changes in what games are available and whether they can even make it into the shops without having large parts of the gameplay experience cut from the final release (as happens with films).

Rockstar Games, the developer of the GTA series and other popular games including the Manhunt series, is well known for releasing games

Geri Halliwell Nude Shots Published Soon

geri-halliwell.jpg

There’s another nude celebrity photo scandal coming our way. . .

New mother and all round annoying celebrity, Geri Halliwell (aka Ginger Spice of Spice Girl fame) is livid about a set of nude photos to be published in the June 08 edition of Hustler magazine.

The pictures show Geri as a teenager posing in nothing but fishnet stockings.

Hitler’s Vision for Berlin

volkshalle.jpg

It seems that the vision Hitler had for Germany included a City Hall that could hold 180,000 people.  The Hall can be seen dwarfing the Brandenburg gate in the photo above.

This incredible claim is currently on exhibition until the end of the year at Myth Germania in Berlin. Seemingly the condensation created by the cumulative breathing of all 180,000 people inside the dome was enough to create rain…silver nitrate anyone?

Courtney Love wants to move to England..!!

courtney-love.jpg

Better make sure immigration are on full alert, the skag monkey Courtney Love wants to move to England.

Reported earlier today on Starpulse News:

“Rocker Courtney Love is desperate to flee her hectic lifestyle in “dirty” Los Angeles and set up home in the English countryside. She has previously house-hunted in the British capital and even viewed Kate Moss’ north London apartment, but pulled out of the $7 million deal after deciding it was not for her.

The former Hole singer, 43, claims the U.K. is a much healthier place to bring up her daughter with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, 15-year-old Frances Bean, and has been viewing properties in the country for several months with the hope of finding a permanent home.
